I think my horse has an allergy to oak trees - before i had him he had a super mane and tail, now he is bald. i dont think its sweet itch as its not down to the skin or scabs etc. We live in a very wooded area so oak trees all around. I have spoken to my vet who is happy to try him on either steriod injections or allergy testing. Has anyone had this done - how much did it cost ? was it sucessful? what is the ongoing treatment ? I would love to hear from someone whos had it, rather than just the vet.
