My boy has come up in lumps, allergic to something in his field. Vet says a couple of sachets of bute should take the lumps down. Anyone else deal with this?

Do you mean lots of spots/bumps like hives? Or single spots? One of mine had hives like spots all over her head/top neck few weeks ago and they just went after 3 days. Shes had a few other spots on her neck/bottom which stay a few days then just go.

Yes just like that, vet said try a couple of days bute. Three sachets in no change. He is quite happy.

One of mine came in from the field (many years ago, mid summer) with bumps like hives both sides of her neck, vet gave her something I forget what it was (wasn't bute) and they went down almost instantly. If your horse hasn't lost the bumps I would call the vet and ask them about it.
