Well it seems my friend has dodged a bullet . . . horse she purchased seems to be a good 'un. Nearly three weeks on he is still a sweet, laid back, sound chap. He isn't a saint - but then he is only 5 - but he is honest and relatively unspoiled. He can be a bit sensitive about sudden movements and some of his reactions have led my friend and her trainer to wonder if he might have had some rough treatment in his (relatively) short life . . . but there isn't a nasty bone in his body as a result. She has had his feet sorted (they were shocking), his jabs are now up to date, the saddler has been and he has really benefited from lots of good grass and is looking much, much better. He will be a cracker with some education and TLC. So, so happy for her :D.

That's great :D
Did you tell her in the end?

No, I didn't. She had a major wobble/moment of self doubt weekend before last when he decided to turn into Tigger going down to the field and I didn't feel she needed any more reason to doubt him. She worked with her trainer (who is also my trainer) and nipped that behaviour in the bud and is so very much happier. If he had turned into a broken nightmare, I would have said something . . . and put her in touch with people who could advise her accordingly, but there was (thankfully) no need.

I do love a happy ending :).
