Hi
My pony has been diagnosed following a biopsy with Alopecia Areata I noticed her tail was thinning/breaking off. My vet said it’s quite uncommon!
He does not want to give her steroids in case of laminitis and has prescribed a spray, he is not sure whether this will help or not.
He skin, coat and hooves are all excellent and she is always complimented on how well she looks wherever we go so I know it’s not her diet.

Vet said is an autoimmune problem or could have been a little bit stress that has brought this on only thing different to normal is I got a new horsebox in October and we have started going out and about.
Anyone ever expertises this with their horses?
