hi, does anyone on here feed there horse alpha beet.

has it helped keep condition on your horse?
does it give your horse sufficient energy?

was wondering if anyone could give me any information on its nutritional content. ive tried ggogling it but all i can find is on the thorogood website saying they sell it!

how much does it cost for a bag?
thanks

My horse eats alfa-beet in the winter. He is allergic to a huge number of cereals, plus soya & linseed. He has this, mixed with alfa-a chaff, plus a supplement called optimum which helps him make the most of a fibre based diet. He has maintained weight & condition throughout the winter whilst living out 24/7, & has ad lib hay - and he is a TB, so in answer to your question, he maintains excellent condition and has good energy levels, and I believe it is about £6 for a sack (which lasts him ages!)

I feed alfa beet, however I dont know how much it has helped with my boys condition because he has also been on topspec at the same time.

He loves it though!

i feed alpha-beet in the winter last year, and it helped a bit to keep on the weight, didn't really change his energy levels, wouldn't say it was amazing though
