Mine is rubbing his bum, but doesn't generally do this at all. It's only this year. And he is coughing more than usual, too. He usually gets a bit of a cough this time of year, but it's worse this year.
Definitely something different going on!

its strange isnt it !
even the sides of his dock has been rubbed !!
its a pain was gona take him to a show on sunday but hes got scratches and scabs all over his bum !!!

Saf never really itches but I have had to wash her mane twice in the last 3 days, not sure what is going on, she has a skin rash on her chest from april to june

The Shettie and Lizzie are both scratching there bums, there tails just start to lose the bog brush effect, then it starts all over again!!!!

Yep - Jenny's really rubbing her bum this year. The top of her tail looks like a porcupine and its impossible to plait it now. Looks great at shows.........not!

yep both of mine and the other horse at the yard are itching all the time! Flash's tail looks like a toilet brush...mmm attractive!

My mares sweet itch is def worse this year in comparison to last year. Also other horses on the yard are itching

yes!
mine has almost destroyed his tail and a section of mane, and has three gouges up his face where he's found something to scratch on

mine has too, i was asked if id clipped the sides of his tail!

My daughters pony has badly rubbed her mane and tail this year and all my horses have thin tails this year for the first time ever. Its a real bugbear of mine..thin tails. Mine usually have lovely thick tails because I never brush them but they've obviously been rubbing alot lately..

My horse has a funny rash on his chest, and alot of the horses at the yard show a strange irritation on their muzzles. Weve had one horse of work all summer due to headshaking which came on super sudden, and our strange overgrown thelwell is turned out 24/7 as his entire body itching is threatening to knock down the stable block! Really, really odd.

its a real pain and theres just nothing i can do to stop it no matter what i put on him,i feel sorry for the poor boy it would drive me mad all that itching, its raining today and very windy so ive brought him in for a break hes enjoying his bed now

Mine are better this year but I am using Rambo protectors fly rugs all the time they are out, (not the neck covers), feeding a good amount of brewers yeast and linseed and any bits sticking out of the rug are covered in my flyspray which has a lot of skin so soft to keep midges away.
