Is there an substitute for feeding linseed when using for helping hoofs? Shes a very good doer and shes only getting 50g but didnt know weather there was an lower calorie option?

I suppose you're feeding the linseed for the omega 3's? Well, omega 3's are present in fat and grass.

Cod liver oil does have a lower rate of absorption so could be a better option if you're worried about the calories. But imo, 50g really isn't enough to have an effect on weight - I'd look at the hay and any hard feed before considering removing the linseed.

ok thank you. I just didnt know whether that was a contributing factor or not. But you have put my mind at ease :)
