Just filling out my insurance claim and it asks if I am claiming Alternative Husbandry - does anyone know what it means?

if you have to keep the horse in a dif way to normal, for eg if they are normally kept at grass and have had to be stabled you can claim for some of teh additional costs...not sure how much though

You'll be able to claim for any additional bedding or feed that you need. For example if your horse was living out over the summer you wouldn't need to buy hay or bedding now you do, even if the horse was still coming in over night or during the day you wouldn't be useing as much hay or bedding so can claim for the extra you now need, if that makes sense.
