Yes accupuncture does help but you need to do it regularly e.g. monthly. It helped my elderly horse but due to the cost of the vet I switched him to Hilton Herb Releaf Gold. This contains various herbs which has certainly helped my 35 year old. He was only retired this summer as I felt it was time and he was tiring but I ride him now and again as he likes to feel wanted.

I swear by Cortaflex. I was very sceptical about it until an old horse came into my care. He was very arthritic in one fetlock. Put him on Cortaflex and he was as sound as anything within a month. Took him off it just to check what was happening and he went back to being stiff and lame. Proof it does work.

My horse is on Pernamax Equine. It made a dramatic difference to her when she was at her worst. I have kept it up even though she shows no symptoms any more, but on a low dose. If you try it, you may need to grind the tablets up to a powder as otherwise horses spit them out, they smell rank!

I should know ... I am now taking the human product myself!
