Hi, I currently feed my warmblood alfa original, Baileys fiber nuts, D&H Daily Vits & Minerals and a glucosamine supplement and he's doing really well on it (also haylage). The only problem is that he doesn't really like chaff!! of any sort!! tried them all. I'm looking for suggestions of an alternative filler that can be used to ensure I can mix in the supplements. I've thought of bran with limestone flour but mixed advice on this regards the calcium phosphorous ratio. He didn't do well on mixes as get a bit too hot headed on them. Suggestions welcome!! Thanks

Speedibeet or Fast Fibre? Or just soak the fibre nuts and add the supplements to the resulting mash? Or try swapping the chaff - alfalfa can be rather bitter, and many of the straw-based chaffs are a bit boring. Have you tried any of the grass chaffs?

I don't believe i have tried the grass chaff. Do you have a trade name? The Fast Fiber looks good. I tried speedy beat and he seemed to like it at fist but then go off it after a bit. He's very fussy but loves the Baileys fiber nuts. Just feel like I'm wasting money on the chaff as it mainly gets thrown away!

There are various brands of grass chaff - Readigrass and Graze-On to name a couple. But if he really seems to love the fibre nuts, the best solution may just be to soak the nuts themselves and mix the supplement in that way. Saves buying other products that may get wasted.

Graze On, Readigrass, Just Grass - all these are grass chaffs. Dried grass, nothing more or less. I don't bother with straw or alfa, firstly because alfa made mine itchy and secondly straw to me is a waste of time as no nutritional benefit. Does he need a chaff? If you wet down the feed and leave for a while the supplement will stick to the fibre nuts.

where I can get it?

Any feedshop, they should have at least one of the grass chaffs. Wetting down the feed, that comes from the tap ;-)
