Hi again, as you might know haynets are not great for to horse, so looking for an alternative or a way to make one, What do people use and how to they rate them. Sort of need an aspect of slow feeder to it as mare will scoff as much hay as she can thank you

I've not had any huge issues with nets, I use a lattice style hay bag at the moment. I think it depends on how you hang them and the material perhaps.

I have seen boxes, usually made of wood, where the top has plastic holes or a net over the hay. The hay is contained and eaten slowly due to this design, but in a more natural head down position.

Like this box: https://www.thinaircanvas.com/nibblenet/pages/nibblenet-sheet-frame.htm

A few variations are made and they're not difficult to make on your own either.

I dont like nets and wont use them tied up. I use nets on the ground with my unshod horses. I have a hay ball and a hay roller each. I also have a wheelie bin hay feeder, which has 2 holes cut in it for them to access the hay. In the field they have a wooden crate which I tie haynets into,
