Alternative to Ready Grass for OAP

I currently feed in addition to haylage a large bucket of fast fibre and ready grass mixed. I am looking for an alternative as both my daughter and myself are allergic to the ready grass.
30 year old pony did have problems eating his haylage but after some dental work does seem to be managing haylage better but would rather 'top up' with some sort of fibre based replacer. As the winter progresses he does tend to lose condition.
He is also fed calm and condition as part of his main bucket feed.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
 
If he is struggling with longer fibre you can increase the Fast Fibre, try EquiJewel or Coolstance if you are trying to keep condition on and there is also Mollichaff Veteran which is a nice soft chaff with lots of goodies in it to help keep oldies going. All the oldies here have a combination of the above and it works well as they find hay and haylage harder to eat. Just have trugs of their ideal combo topped up as necessary so they always have something to munch on. The oldest here was 40 and had trugs of the above for a few years and did really well on it - he had a section of hay to chomp on as well as he would yell if he didn't get it!!:)
 
the veteran in out field can't cope with alfalfa as too stalky! but mollichaff veteran etc seems fine and she also likes the new badminton veteran nuggets too

you could also look at changing from fast fibre to calm and condition or veteran vitality maybe? still high fibre but gives more calories :)
 
Thanks everyone for your alternatives - just couldn't face having another bag of ready grass it really makes us ill for about 3/4 hour after handling it.
 
Not sure if it will have the same effect but Graze on is like Ready Grass but not only a huge amount cheaper but I find it softer and shorter cut.

I'm a Calm & Condition fan!! Won't feed my boys anything else now. They only get 1kg a day because both are big boys but it gives their coat a lovely shine and they look amazing on it. Also it makes mixing the supplements in very easy.
