Hi, I've just bought a horse who is currently in a Waterford 3 ring Dutch gag. I know what a Waterford does, I know how they work but can anyone offer an alternative bit for a strong solid cob. He isn't particularly a puller or a leaner so I'm not sure why he's in such a bit. I know it's going to be trial and error but can anyone recommend me a starting point to get him out of a Waterford? I'm going to try an ordinary jointed Dutch gag when I get him home but any other suggestions?
