The big lad got scoped for ulcers at the beggining of the year and then had a treatment with GastroGuard. Alls okay now but vet suggested to put him on an anti-acid supplement to help settle his stomach and prevent them reacurring. Ulsers where caused from stress and resulted in him wind sucking horrendously! Now moved yards which has chilled us both out enourmsley...
I put him on Coligone liquid (syringed in twice a day) for ten days after advice from ringing the company up to see how he went. It worked wonders he tottally stopped windsucking and vet even said what an improvment it had made to his general demeaner! So I bought the powder and he wont touch it! I'm reluctant to go to the liquid and have to put it in as a wormer twice a day... So are there any alternatives that work as well?
I have seen Equine america ulser gard in local tack shop has any one used it?Also Gartiaid by NAF... Any reviews on any gastric supplement would be highly apreciated!
Thanks alot!
