I need a new coat, after my 4 month old beautiful beautiful Musto coat offended the puppy in some way and said puppy decided the Musto coat needed teaching a lesson

(read b******d puppy pulled my coat off the peg and proceeded to rip it to shreds for no apparent reason

Anywho, my musto was one of the blouson jackets - this was a replacement for a very old one that I had had for years - I love the Musto coats.

On the other hand I don't really want to fork out £100 for a new coat right now - is there anything that will match up to the Musto that is worth buying?

Any pointers would be lovely

oh god bad puppy!
I have no idea I love my musto's also have two of them can't be without them now though, umm..shires have a cheaper version look ok and so does Mark todd infact mark todd one is so similar...and they do nice colours too!

Hmmmm - me and the puppy are most definitely NOT speaking right now...

I had looked at the mark todd ones before - but there was 2 things I wasn't so keen on with them, while they look really smart, the elastic round the waist is very tight - I think I would get frustrated with that! and the material the mark todds are made of are a harder material that seemed to "scrumple" more (technical term

I will have a look at the Shires ones though

did the scrumpling of the material settle down once you had worn the coat a bit and got it grubby? I'm still not convinced about the waist band elastic - but I could probably butcher that a bit if needs be - they are quite a bit cheaper than Musto!!

Oooooo - I like the look of that!

Is that a drawstring type thingy on the bottom hem? I quite like to have the bottom pulled up out of the way when I am riding.

Top tip there!!

I've got a Jack Murphy blouson which is about £45 but very windproof and waterproof... better than the Musto equivalent as the cuffs aren't cotton so won't suck up water.

However if you want Musto, go down to Horsewise in Penryn, they had a 50% off Musto sale (but if you're a size 8-10 don't bother, I cleared them out of most things in that size!!
