Well they certainly seem to have quite a following on Facebook with lots recommending them but many turn out to be selling the stuff so its hard to know whats unbiased

I've used their mane/tail shine and shampoo but neither were any better than alternative cheaper products

Yeah it is. I'm not adverse to MLM. I was a Kleeneze distributor when my daughter was small. It worked really well for me. But it had a catalogue as a selling platform where as Alva just seem to push through social media.

I just wondered if the products are as good as suggested as they aren't cheap.

I use it as a friend at riding club sells it.
I don’t like mlm so was wary but prices seem average for horse products and I really rate the mane spray. It smells lovely and leaves my fell ponies mane soft without being sticky and attracting dirt.

I have a friend that sells it, I have only used the detangler spray and have to say it’s one of the best I’ve used, only need to use a small amount a couple of times a week

I decided to steer clear after I friended a Riding Club friend on facebook and she immediately started commenting on all my photos to recommend products e.g. a photo of a muddy cob = product recommendation; a photo of my long-maned cob in the field = product recommendation ... I politely asked her to stop to be told they were the BEST BEST products ever. Removed illico presto ... can't stand companies that would permit that sort of aggressive marketing and did wonder if it might be a MLM but didn't care enough to Google it!

A lot of people became disillusioned with Alva due to numerous issues within the business such as orders taking longer than expected to arrive. The owner takes no criticism and has been known to block people for having some valid concerns.
The products themselves are fab and I do rate them but when they're difficult to get a hold of it can make it frustrating.

Tried a sweet itch product once which was useless. l avoid now as MLM. Sick of hard sellers saying how great they are just to get the commission.

I used to sell it - not any more - but I do rate 2 of the products so will keep using them. The barrier spray makes the mud a lot easier to remove from my mare's legs (and actually does condition the coat...I was pleasantly surprised how lovely her legs felt) and the teatree shampoo is good. I was never super pushy though...that's just not me. I bought 3 of the barrier sprays at the start of winter to sell, but having tried them, I will be keeping them for me - well my horse :D
