We have a competition running from our rescue site, and you can enter (see terms and conditions in portrait link) and you can win a portrait (that would usually be very costly) by a superbly talented artist who has offered her services to help raise money for destitute/homeless doggies. (examples supplied)

Even though we are a dog charity (we have rehomed horses):D the artist will also invclude a portrait of horses.

I have permission to post, Im a good girl like that!!

(No point me keeping this fab opportunity from you):p

Aww beautiful pictures and love the malamute you have, I would snap her up if I didn't already have one. I do hope she finds a good home, I read in the paper that mals are becoming increasingly popular which is a worry as they are tricky dogs to have.

Let me dig out my pay pal details... :)

Just wondering is the portrait going to be made of a photo of the horse or will the artist go and visit the horse? I would love to get one done of one of Koko's pictures :)

I think they usually work from photos.

My bridesmaids got one of my old boy, Sam (in his younger days) done for my wedding and managed to get a load of sneaky pics from my mum to get it done. It's beautiful, but nearly ruined my wedding makeup when I welled up when they gave it to me! It's a wonderful thing, probably one, if not THE best present I ever had. I'll be entering the comp to see if I can get one of my young boy done to go opposite Sam!!

Thanks MM!

I've just double checke, cos I'm thick and wasn't sure, and you get an entry into the competition every time you make a donation of £3 or more, so the more donations the more chances to win.:D

awwwww they are all so cute! I especially like Lucy and Rivet. Unfortunately I don't think a London flat and full time working owner is suitable for either :(

hope you find them all wonderful forever homes.

You don't have to enter a photo, just make a donation, minimum £3 and your name goes into the draw to win a portrait. This closes on 31st January so not much time left.
