If you had a pony on loan would you take it to BSJA show 6/8weeks after you got it if it hadn't competed BSJA in a good few yrs.
Or am I being overcautious in what I would do - put it in unaffiliated classes first as a sort working up to it to see how it went.
I admit I can be overcautious sometimes.

It depends on how much the rider has done before & if the pony has regulalry been competing at unaffiliated jumping recently. If pony & rider are both doing well at home, why not try British Novice as this is no bigger than most unaff classes?

No hasn't been competeing at all unaff/aff in last few due to one thing or another.
Does have a pop in her but tend to be wound up easily you know brains fried type.
Just being overcautious as do tend to do this.
