I think you should just take whoever you want as it's your box

However it's a bit strange to get annoyed that she wanted to jump instead of doing dressage...
lets be honest most 15 yo's prefer jumping and surely it's up to her what she would rather do.

And again they're just 15, they probably just got carried away planning and talking about it!

You should just set them straight and I'm sure they won't ask again

I'm not annoyed, and am taking her jumping tommorrow! (just not both of them!) Jumping is on later so we won't get back to the yard gone 10pm, then if it is to be cleaned out, and the partion carried back across the yard and locked in my tackroom, its a faff I can do without after a long day. If I was off, or not doing dressage the following evening I probably would have - cos I'm soft anyway!

That's really nice of you and I'm sure she will appreciate it!

10pm is very late to get back but I guess for a one off you will probably make her very happy.
(or give her the bug and she'll want to do loads more hehe!!)

It's tought because I know teh girl probably didn't mean to sound ungrateful or be cheeky - I would simply say that unfortunately the jumping isn't at a convenient time for you, but the offer of the dressage is still open, and you think it would do her horse good, hence the offer, in addition to it being a thank you for her help.

As far as the box hiring / taking people places, I would point out that you are not insured for commercial use, so won't be doing it in future as you cannot risk your drivers licence / fines etc.

If they go out of their way to help you I think you should do the same - to me it does not seem you are reciprocating their generosity. If the concern about weight is legitimate, you would not have to back it up with other incredibly lame reasons.

The other people I can understand but not these people.
