Well here goes - currently horseless have a trailer a 4 x 4 2 saddles 2 bridle and all the etc. Been riding a horse at a lovely yard. So lovely that yesterday I put a deposit on a stable.

So ready to seriously horse hunt I am laid in bed with a cat a kindle my android 4 cushions and a swollen ankle literally half an hour after handing over the money I stepped in a hole that wasnt there.:-(
just waiting for oh to come home ant take me for xrays.:'(

Sorry didnt get back yesterday bit of a hectic time but Eureka its just a bad sprain.
No Box Rest for me gentle walking work and I am amazed at how much better it is for walking and now I have a stinky cold.

So I will have to get my Bum in gear and try and find someone local to me in Gloucestershire with a nice 15.3 ish horse with a bit of cob or irish that is sane and sensible not too old and not too young.

The yard is great big fields on the side of a hill turnout in small herds 24/7 in summer in overnight in winter lush hacking and a small indoor school and a large field for jumping. I really really cant wait. Its true what my sister said its not just the horse its the environment you keep it in.

Flibble, I like the cut of your jib (as they say) and have enjoyed your postings. Hope you find the horse you want. Check out Facebook - Gloucestershire Horse Riders - there are often horses being advertised.

Good news about the ankle!
Not bonkers at all, in fact, better than what we usually do, which is buy the horse and then wonder where on earth we're going to put it. We did that with our 1st and fortunately a local farmer allowed us to put him in with his daughter's pony. Fast forward 30 yrs and the horses are at home but we had to build a new stable to accommodate the latest purchase, lol!.
