Yesterday I bought some Toggi Calgary Boots and wore them for the first time this afternoon. I have only worn them for 2 1/2 hours but they have cut into both Ankles and one foot is slightly swollen.

Will I be in my rights to return them to the shop!?
They are extremely uncomfortable and for anyone that may suggest they may need wearing in, there Is no way I could wear them because of the pain, they made me walk inward on my feet to aliviate (sp) the soreness.

You could try, but they're worn so I think the shop can refuse to accept them. If they're feeling nice, they may take them back and give you a credit note as opposed to a refund. As already said, if there's no fault, they can say no.

If I return them the shop will be making more money out of me because I would exchange them for the country boot which I think is an extra £20

Yes but what will they to with your worn boots?? I don't think they will end up making anything out of it!

Make sure you try them on properly next time :) I really don't think the shop or manufacturer are at fault here

if you have worn them for that long, and not just on carpet, they will probably refuse you point blank, and you're option would be to sell on ebay. No-one will buy them as new from a shop.

I have to add, i tried on a pair of these, and found them VERY uncomfortable.

What size are they? I'm currently after some new day to day riding/yard boots and am considering the Calgary boots as I love my Toggi Hudsons :) if they are a size 40 (6 1/2) wide in brown, I may be able to take them off your hands for you ;)

I have taken children's shoes back after being worn on the first day of school as they have rubbed them (not on the heel) and left red marks.
They have changed them no problem.

Laura-C they are a size 39 wide in black.

I'm going to phone the shop in the morning and explain, see what they say. My feet are still throbbing and my ankles are still really swollen :-(

You can't take them back if you've worn them outside.

I have some too and found a few days wearing 2 thin pairs of socks sorted them out. No point wearing foot wear til it hurts. You need to break them in.
