i share a lovley little yard with a lovley lass & we get on like a house on fire, we have carefully managed the land so that our ponies do not kill all the grazing & have nothing for the rest of the year. in the beginning of may the bloke that rents the land (& we sublet from) brought a 2yo welsh B for his young daughter to learn to ride on, He has no idea & she is terrified of him (despite being quite sweet) now i know its his right to have an animalon said land but its now 2 acres of clay based grazing supporting 4 ponies, he hastaken the electric doen & let themhave the ru of all of it so now there s nothing left & they can now get to the old council fence of loose concrete posts & slack barbed wire that wont tension as ive tried & its only 3ft high! this bugged me lots but as i know it would take a lot to freak SWA into crossing fence line im not paniced.
since then ive lost 2 headcollars, 8 leadropes, reins off my show bridle & god knows how many brushes/hoofpicks ect.... all because i keep my stuff tidy & where i can find it (they dont then "borrow" mine) this is starting to really great now especially as they brought lice onto yard & then used all my coopers spray to deal with it meaning i had to go & buy more to get rid of the lice my lad caught from their horse but ive just lost the plot big time asa his elder daughter decided to ride said 2yo (dont go there!) & without so much as bothering to ask (or tell me since) they used my saddle & the reason im so angry my DAUGHTERS HELMET! she was evicted from side door at speed & landed on head she put my little girls hat back on shelf & has said nothing! ive started bringing things back home like tack & safety stuff.
sorry its so long but ARGH!!!!! am i over reacting on am i right this is not on? i love sharing with mate but am starting to think moving to the livery yard in village might be safer in the long run costs more in livery & will have to do twice a day rather than the once aday i do now (i do hers mornings & she does eves works best with kids/work) but the fuel & stress of loosing stuff would be less?
oh and if you got to the end of this well done sorry its become an essay.
