Sold a horse i really loved in the summer had him for years and he has recently been put on loan by his new owner who sent me a photo of this when she got him where he was underweight:mad::mad::mad:, had bad feet a bad sun burnt nose and mud fever in the space of like 4/5 months. The lady he is on loan to is now looking after him well but i worried about him going back to this girl. Does anyone think im over reacting ?

The new owner sent you a photo of the horse looking like crap? What a weirdo. As amymay said, there is nothing you can do unless you buy the horse back.

Yep. Looks a bit rubbish. But it's out of your hands now. You sold him.

Yes, I also have to agree with the above. Shame for the horse though, if you love them, then don't sell them, no horse is safe in this economic climate. Easier said than done I know, peoples circumstances change, money, time etc, but maybe loaning if you love them.

Your only option is to try and buy him back from the owner, or hope the loaner keeps him for a long time.

All you can do is to keep a friendly contact with the loaner (and the owner) and keep an eye out for him. You could always offer to buy him back or have first refusal if he is sold on, but as you sold him, you have no more say over his future.
Of course if his wellbeing were to become a major source of concern, you could contact a horse welfare charity like any member of the public.

Such a shame but I would try to stay friends with her to keep an eye on him best thing you could do in the circumstances
