Well got new instructor!! She is very good at first showing and talk about a new broom!!! Old instructor YO. WELL going away for 6 weeks soon. Would normally have paid YO to SCHOOL for me a couple of times a week while I am away. Found someone else. Insured, recommended and references for half this for exercising and TBH I think she will do a better job. It has been sugested to me that I CLEAR this with current YO (for that you can read ask permission). He is on full livery and I am a good and generous client but I don't feel I have always been treated as one and am beginning to look about me. What do you think?

i think you need to ensure that having somebody visit to school your horse is OK with your YO, and accept that you may have to continue to pay for your full livery servce, even if somebody else is doing the exercise

Exercise isn't included in the full livery. Its called that but really its more like part. Mucking out, feeding, turning in and out etc. is done for me but not a lot else so I shall still be paying assuredly!

I think if you are not altogether satisfied with the service you're receiving you have every right and are totally correct to look elsewhere.
If it is just the riding that is a problem, then if you speak to your YO surely she will allow someone else to school the horse for you.
If the services and care are good enough, it probably wouldn't make me leave.
However if you don't feel comfortable that your horse is being cared for appropriately, I would definately be looking around.
Just remember that no yard is perfect and you'll proably have to make a sacrafice somewhere.
Happy hunting!

I would strongly recommend you OK this with the YO, apparently some yard owners can be very strange!
