Hi All,

I recently made the decision to trade my transit forward facing horse box for a trailer and 4x4 (as I didnt feel confident driving the van). It was definitely the right decision as I feel much happy driving around with the trailer (and a responsible adult until I get my towing license).

However, I have travelled P in a big herringbone lorry and my forward facing little lorry but never in a trailer.

I have already cancelled 2 outings in 2 weeks as I am worried to put him in the trailer (which he loads into fine, I've been practising). 1st excuse- I need a full breast bar not a split breast bar because I dont want a partition in there (Dad kindly sorted out), 2nd excuse- I need thicker rubber matting, he wont like the flooring which is already down (Dad has again sorted this), even I am now struggling for excuses!!

I'm just too much of a wimp to get on and go (can you tell I am of a nervous disposition?).

Is it just me being daft or will he find it very different? (He travels beautifully in a lorry).

V x

thats not a bad idea (I do become extra hopeless where P is concerned!!!).

will rope Dad in over the weekend (in writing my previous post I have had to make another excuse as to why I can't go to the funride on sunday 'he doesn't like his travel boots, I've got to order him some more'- being a wimp getting expensive!!)

I may get YO to take him for a little drive and I can sit in the back and study him (he does worry me, all for no reason he is such a sensible little chap- I think the main concern is that in 12months he has not put a foot wrong, law of averages say something must go wrong at some point!)

Get yourself one of those wireless baby monitors and put the camera in the trailer and the monitor in your truck, so that you can always see what he is doing. Should give you peace of mind. Otherwise you're going to just have to bite the bullet.x
