Am I That Bad An Owner?

Once again, thank you all for your comments. I feel so much better. My horses are both happy and quite often, I just fancy a quiet plod around the forest and they just want to bomb everywhere.

Theresa_F's OH met them last week and he commented on how lovely they were. He was saying that horses like Mac can be prone to getting fat and that I was doing well to keep him so trim.

Will tell anyone else that dares to have a dig where to go.

I've got no qualms about riding Twiglet twice a day - in fact I wish I had the time to do it at all!
Last summer he was hacking and schooling in the same day, and was only stabled from 10 - 4ish. He's 17 next week.
If they're happy with it, then surely that's the best way all round? Better fit and healthy horses than fat and bored in a stable as far as i'm concerned........
