our field is north facing and ridge and furrow and is hardly growing.am going to get soil tested and need to spray for buttercups but am still feeding hay in winter paddock.any one else the same

We have very little grass. I would think it will be another 2 to 3 weeks before it is growing properly.

Although with the rain we are having if it happens to come back warm at the weekend you will almost be able to watch it grow.

Mine has only just started growing, but it is so wet and so badly poached you can hardly tell. It needs resting but everywhere is so wet I can't turn my lot onto anywhere else.

Ours has just started to grow. Ive fenced some off to give it chance but its nearly 4 weeks now and not much seems to be happening. The fields are well cared for by YO, harrowing, seeding etc but this is the first year Ive had my own bit and its been grazed all year round, he had grass nearly all winter so I will probably split it next year to save it. Didnt want to end up with a muddy mess though so just let him have the lot!

No, I am still putting hay out, need to rest the paddock they are in, but cant move them yet, cant get on the fields to roll and harrow as its too wet.......
Fed up with this weather!

We have no grass either. The fields are being fertilised next week, thankfully. I'm still feeding hard feed and hay. I've never fed this late in the year before. She only has a small feed day and night but she is hungry

We had to open our spring field up when the big girl was ill, have left it open as the new girl has arrived, now both fields are not good, but when the sun shone last weekend you could see it growing, hope this W/E is as promised and it may come through.

I have a feeling there won't be a lot of hay this year - if it is this late starting to grow it is going to have to grow at an enormous rate to get a normal crop. If you get offered some at a reasonable price, best to grab it while you can.
