..........Wallowing in mud all day!
By this time of year our winter pen is usually frozen solid. We have had the oddest weather though and our ground has not frozen. Many are happy about this, but I much prefer frozen ground to muddy wet slop! They are tearing it up BIG TIME and it is impossible to clean up the poo in all the mess! At least when its freezing the droppings are hard and easy to pick up!
Just as sure as you brush the mud off the horses they roll right back in it again!
Oh to have the dry grassy hard ground of summer back!
I hate spring for the same reasons as stated above....the waiting period before you can put the horses on the pasture again. Now we are in essence having an entire winter so far of "spring"
Oh well....such is lfe eh?
