I'm going to look at a pony this week, it's 13hh and 9 years old and I think it's a cob, But I'm 5'5, 13 years old and weigh 7-8 stone. Will I be too big/tall for this pony?
This is my first pony, and I don't think I'll be doing many, if any, competitions, just hacking and a bit of jumping as I am a novice and want to improve my riding and knowledge before I get a horse.
Please, if you are the same height as me and have a same height pony, please post some pictures if you can! :) thank you

Weight wise you will be fine, but you may feel a little tall on it, which as a novice rider may not help with your balance.

My son is 12 yrs and currently has a 14.2hh - he is 5ft4 and around 8 stone and am hoping the pony will last him a couple of years, but he may well outgrow it before this.

The problem is you will only grow taller, but sadly your pony won't…..

Have you got anyone going with you to look, either at this pony, or any others you may like?
