Well this is little Monkey, shes 5 in April. She still looks very young as she didn't have the best of starts and I am aware of this. She is half TB crossed with hanovarian and new forest. She is 14.3hh approx and bum high so hoping for a bit more height and of course she will fill out yet so will take my leg up. Iam used to riding my cob and my hackney x cob. I just feel so funny on her like I am much to big for her! Honestly, do I look too big on her? Ps: I do hav about 3 coats on! I am about 5ft 2.

Me on Annie fan, 14.3hh but a completley different breed and loads wider than Monkey nuts:

Is everyone blind?

Sorry but that pony is massive. Way too big for that girl. It would suit me better. Look, where do you live? Will collect.

Absolutely not!!! Your horses are lovely and you look good on all of them. I am sure she may grow and fill a little more anyway.

I have a big 17 hander and a little 15hh Arab, I feel huge on her after him but I am not in reality :-)

You look great together. And I am very jealous that you have three lovely horses...how greedy are you? :) I esp love your cob x (but I am a big cob fan!).

I think I will have same prob with my baby. She's only 8mo, I can't ever imagine riding her in the future... She's too precious! Know how you feel. Let her fill out and I bet you, with her breeding, she soon will and you'll wonder why you worried!

Promise me you'll say the same to me when I start my baby's ridden work won't you :D

then you're absolutely fine on her imho. :) :) :)

Yeyyyyyyyyyyyy! Might be a bit over, what with christmas and alll....oops!

And Tallyho, thats what I think exactly! Shes my baby, but she needs to be seen as more grown up yet. I keep feeding her plenty so she keeps growing and its winter of course. Cant wait til spring, she will look amazing. Actually, as you say I cant wait until shes grown into a 'proper' horse - I'll be posting pics of her and linking to this thread going, look how shes grown!! :) What would I do without you all x

Hi,

You look good to me. Maybe it's because you're used to bigger horses?

I'm 5ft 2 and my pony is 14hh - the biggest i've ridden was 18.2hh Shire - so my boy seems like a Shetland after that...:D
