as long as you don't sock him in the chops, i think he'll cope fine. i wouldn't do lots and lots of jumping with him as he's only 4, but that's got nothing to do with the size of the rider, it's to do with his immaturity.

Also if you were a very light rider (in style not weight) then he would cope easier than a heavy rider if you get me? But either way you aren't too heavy for him. He will soon tell you if he coudln't cope.

I'm with kerilli on this!

Don't go mad and over do it because he's a baby! You want him to love doing it and so if you always leave him wanting more he'll always look forward to it.

Here we go again with pics, 13.3 Section D, 14 stone up, do bear in mind that I can't get another rider for him - he's dangerous and bolts if he gets panicked - and that on his day he loves to go out and compete, he's an old boy and will spend the rest of his days with us in retirement if anything goes wrong. I wouldn't do this to a 4 yo!

In the bottom photo he's on his way to second place in a 2'9 class. He was a bit grumpy because he wanted to catch the horse in front - and I didn't want to over take!

Section D's are weight carriers. I am not much lighter than you, and there are two that I ride regularly. One is a stocky type, and the other is finer, but both cope fine with my weight.
