Amateur high quality jumping pictures

I'm trying to decide if to buy a compact digital camera (looking at Casio EX-FH100) or a compact digital camcorder to record some picture of me jumping. I'd like to be able to have some videos but also be able to pull off some still's (mid air) for pictures. I'd look at spending up to £300, Most will be voe on HD laptop / tv.

Does anyone have any recommendations or particular likes / dislikes?
