Just wanted to say that I had the most amazing evening with the bloodhounds doing there houndexercise. We jumped loads and really cracked on. Think I could now be trying to fit hunting and bloodhounding into my season.
Nasty accident with a lady and her cob so fingers crossed shes ok.
But..people can be so ignorant. Everytime we got near a road there were antis out. We had shouts of you lot are all the bloody same. Hunting poor little animals!

I hunt so I can't really go on about the moral debate however some peoples lack of knowledge is beyond a joke!

I hunt with bloodhounds too - its much more friendly and fun than our local hunt. I normally find that it is me rather than my horse that is lacking in fitness though, especially when we get to the fourth line and my ankles are giving out on me, lol!

But yes, we have had antis too. They don't seem to realise that 1) we hunt on a Sunday, and foxhounds do not, 2) the type of hound is completely different, or 3) the person running off into the distance wearing shorts and a vest in the middle of December is actually the one we are hunting.

We did get a giggle one New Year, no antis turned up at the meets of the harriers or the fox hounds, nor were they harrassing the beagles. Turns out they were busy sabbing the local drag hunt!

Glad you had a cracking time with the blood hounds, any type of hound is worth following!

Exactly! Its rediculous that they don't realise the different.
I have to say that the people were ever so friendly, in fact I was surprised just how nice the people were.

I found it quite similar to the hunting with fox hounds I normally do but the fact we kept going and jumped so many fences in such a short space of time was brilliant. I would also say they were very respectful to each other at fences but we still all kept going and moving well.

Would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Matafleur and myself have just had the most lovely morning with the farmers bloodhounds!!! It was fairly tame which was perfect for our first outing and everyone was so nice. We jumped a few little things, had a lovely couple of canters and food at the finish! Would definately recommend to anyone considering going. Feeling very happy and pleased with my lovely girl and her spotty friend (Matafleur's appy and Aveys best friend). :)
