I thought I’d share this. Seven months before I bought Polly, she had an accident in the field whilst at the dealer. The vet told the dealer that it would cost more to save the horse than she’d ever make from it and perhaps to put it to sleep, but all credit to the dealer, she decided to have a go and fix her.
The injury was purely external, although very deep, no injury occurred to any tendons, ligaments or bone.
The below picture shows the injury (above left), the proud flesh that grew over it (above right) and the scar as it is now, 2 1/2 years later.
Manuka Honey was the main thing used on the wound.
