I love the way the horses piaffe through the water with a high stepping trot, so they keep their balance as the move forward.
Yes, it does deserve a clap and a cheer

I just found this:
Saving these horses was the talk of the day that day. Some people thought
the girls were silly doing such a dangerous rescue attempt. But they just
said ³we¹re doing it² and they did. A battalion of soldiers made a first
attempt to rescue these horses but failed.

One of the girls fell from her horse just before they reached the other
horses. Was a thrilling moment for she could have been trampled under the
hoofs of so many horses.

When I saw it on TV that evening, tears ran down my cheeks too. Some may
think is absurd and sentimental but it was just the energy that came from
those saved horses to follow those who would lead them to their freedom.
That was the most beautiful part of it the horses just knew it was alright
to follow.

But now the second partŠ

Yesterday there was quite a to-do about these saved horses. What happened,
the owner breeds horses for the slaughter and the news went round that ALL
the saved horses would go to the abattoir for it was their time.

Dutch people were very angry and upset. First the horses were saved from
drowning and exhaustion and when all commotion would have simmered down they
were going to be slaughtered. NO WAYŠ..

And again a HAPPY ENDING for the horsesŠŠ None of the horses will be
slaughtered. Haven¹t heard or read what will happen to them but they are
safe now.

And the breeder Š. The man was warned about the storm, but he didn¹t listen.
They should take away his license of breeding any animal whatsoever.

It wasn¹t the first time he didn¹t look after his cattle in proper way, it
happened a few times before too. When I hear more about these horses and
what¹s going to happen with them I¹ll let you know.

A political party in The Netherlands ³Party for the Animals² put charges
against this farmer."
