Amazing jumping pony!!

Hi all, as usual I have retuned to pick your brains...
I am now on my own with my two big mares and the kids sect. a. We have about 4 acres of land (rough pasture) and another little acre paddock available when desperate.
The two mares are ridden at least 4 times a week, the pony gets ridden on weekends... when the snow was down I didnt ride for approx 3 weeks and since the pony is suffering with awful anxiety when I leave him ( he wasnt too bothered before so long as he had some hay).
Last week he broke three stable doors, trashed the fence twice (some of which is electrified) and jumped the three and a half foot fence from standing.
Twice I led him out whilst riding, but this isnt practical always...mainly because the one mare tries to kick his little head off.
Do you think the land would take another little one (maybe a mini)... or any other suggestions. I would out him but I just love him!! (sad I know)
 
I personally don't think the diddies make too much difference. When we had two biggies and two diddies it was the best group. How is your land holding up now? If you're struggling for grass already then perhaps not..
 
Why not, I am sure another section A wont hurt ;) or a section B for the kids to grow into.... lol (I get carried away! Back down to one horse and need to keep it that way so i need to live vicariously through others :D)
 
Guessing the section A doesn't have the same grass needs as the big horses? Easiest all round to he two pairs of similar management horse.

Why not get a quality youngster? No guilty feelings about lacking time to ride it, it could grow into a suitable next pony for the kids (with correct training obviously). Could be shown inhand. And would be easy enough to sell on at 4yrs old should you need to.
 
Land is a boggy mess... well the big field is, but the little acre is perfect!! they are all having ad lib hay so I'm not concerned about the lack of grass right now, just thought maybe when the grass does come through then it may not be enough for them all. I know they saying is an acre a horse... but does this generally work out??
I love the idea of getting a nice youngster, maybe a sect c.... then I can pen them together in the summer when they get porky.
The kids pony is a kinda rescue, a friend of a friend rung me last summer, RSPCA had contacted her as the pony was so fat he could hardly move... amazingly he didnt have laminitis but was a nine yr old untouched pony, we had to sedate him to do teeth, feet (curling as never touched) and to keep him in the stable... lots of loving from me and the kids and he has turned into a nice little pony! I think this is why I am so reluctant to get rid of him, he didnt ask for a crappy start...
So if anyone wants a loving little boy, who can jump anything... ;)
 
Just an update... Pony has now realised he can jump out for his advantage.. The grass is greener on the otherside. I now have no idea what to do with him. He's now a danger to himself, and others if he gets onto the nearby road.
 
There are people on here with good experience of double-fencing etc. I take it you have the option to add more electric as it is just you using the 4 acres?

Perhaps post a question on that?
