At about 10.30pm last night Amber had a handsome chestnut colt. I had a call at about 11.40 last night, got to the yard about 12 and left 11 this morning. Safe to say I am shattered now LOL.

Mum and baby are doing fine. We had the vet out just to check him as he was taking a while to stand and drink, but he got the hang of it. The vet commented on what a great mum Amber was.

Deciding between Sol (Spanish for sun) and Diego for a name at the moment.

Shall put a pic here for now. Once I get my other pics uploaded I will put them in the Photo Gallery.

Awww lovely. Congratulations. I like Sol. Can't warm to Diego as I always think of Maradona.

Must say, what gorgeous straw you have! (farmer's wife...I sadly notice these things!)

Thanks everyone

I think he is going to be a biggun. It always amazes me how foals can fit inside their mums- it just doesnt look possible when you see them. Sorry if that doesnt make sense-only had about an hours kip.

Weezy, his sire is a grey andalusian (Brujo), hence the Spanish names.

Oh fantastic stuff, as you know I am rather a fan of them LOL!!! Am pretty sure I know of Brujo and if I am thinking of the correct horse then he is absolutely STUNNING!

I don't think Diego would do him justice - Sol is much nicer

Thanks again everyone. Taking me a bit of time to catchup on thread as so tired! Not as tired as Amber probably is though.

I think he has 4 white socks too and might possibley turn grey as dad was grey.
