Just found this article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...s-cancelled-drama-Luck.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

I was watching it - though as I get up so early these days I'm always half asleep when it's on, so wasn't really following the story that well.

One of the horses who died was apparantly an 8 yr old ex-racer who had some arthritic problems. I can't imagine my own horse who matched that same description as the above being asked to simulate race scenes several times a day without suffering catastrophic injury.
The third horse's death does sound more like just an awful accident I think.

Poor horses, I didn't like the program anyway it was too slow and didn't like seeing one of the horses legs break on the first/second episode.

I really got into it. Although as it was filmed in the states god knows what drugs the horses were on. I didn't read the article yet but I'm pressuming they were using horses that weren't fully fit and or horses with problems that weren't good enough for the track for filming?

Sham it's cancelled though. I think someone should start a series up about show jumping. I may have to start writing a script ;)
