is it just me or does the fit still look a little odd, or maybe its because im used to rugs with leg straps:confused:

I use Horseware rugs alot and with one horse I always need to shorten the sircingles.

I think that if you went down a size - the rug would be too tight around the neck, so you are probably best sticking to the size you have. Did you get the horse's normal size? I don't have the Bravo, but with my old style Amigos I have needed to go up a size. I'm just wondering if they've changed the cut (made it more generous) when they updated it?

thanks yeh i think so = she has the amigo mio lw and it fits like a glove - this is the new bravo and its a different fit. Its a 6ft3 same as all her others. Am a little worried by how deep it is at the back that she will catch it when she rolls. They must be bloomin deep given its that deep on a sec d.

I would say you have bought at least a size too big which is probably why you have have
had to have it adjusted

The rug looks a little long to me. The part where the tail flap joins the rug should sit at the top of his tail.

It shouldnt start half way down his tail as it does in the photo. This is a common mistake and can lead to a lot of preasure on his chest and rubs on his chest.

However it looks like quite a light weight rug and doesnt look to be pulling on his chest so if that is the case and it doesnt move I think it will be fine. He will be nice and snug and it will keep his bum warm

I think it looks fine. Iv got the bravo 12 plus mw and fits my tb the same as any other horseware rug. Never had to shorten them though. The fit in your pics is the same fit the big horse shop rugs are on my id. They're the only rugs that fit his shoulders and chest. I have to remove the leg straps as they hang too low down so replace with a fillet string. The advantage of this fit is his bums always nice and dry and his belly!!

Yes they are deep especially for amigo. I think fit prob looks odd as the rug now sits differently cos its had middle bit shortened

why would shorter straps make it sit differently or am i being thick? the straps were so long they were hanging down loose before but now they are a safer length.

Amigos are one of the only rugs that fit my friesian well as they are so deep however with the new ones I have had to downsize to 6'6" as the 6'9" drowns even her.

hmm, as i said , the 6ft3 in the mio LW fits her like a glove as do all her 6ft3 WB freestyles, this one is defo a different shape to the older style Amigos. Ah well, there's not a lot I can do about it now so fingers crossed it stays put,bit gutted though as the mio is such a good fit on her. Miis L toe the height of the horse isnt really a good guide as it depends so much on their build and depth of girth. I had a 14.2hh that wore the same rugs as my 15.2hh at one point. faracat and bumblelion i agree - i dont like them too neat over the bum either.
ahh nicnac, not just me finding this then. Bloomin wish WB still did the 100g ::( thanks everyone
