Just seen a ligtweight Amigo in Ebay quite cheap in 7'3. But not sure on the fit of them. I'm struggling with my mare as she is wide and long she has got quite a wide chest. Masta's seem to fit her well, but just looking for a bargain lightweight at the mo.

Yep, my full ID is in a 6'9 Amigo lightweight. Fits a treat.

If you need it to be waterproof make sure you get the navy version which is 1200 denier, the pastel ones are only 600 and leak in really heavy rain.

I've got an amigo med weight and although it fits my 16.2 WBx well, the strapps at the chest are not adjustable, so just check that.

amigos tend not to fit really chunky ones but seem perfetc for TB types like mine.

One of the horses at our yard tried one and hes a cob and itdidnt go anywhere near his chest.

They're a surprisingly good fit on my chunky big-shouldered Welsh Cob, in fact I could even go down a size from her usual Mastas. I have the red one and it didn't leak in the torrential rain last night, she was warm and dry first thing this morning. See signature for a pic of how it fits across a broad peachy bottom

Love the rugs, but I personally dont find them very generous around the chest area, ok round the neck but quite snug round the chest, which is why I find them good for my 3yr old, I'd go for a size up but hey....I coud be wrong, if its bargain then get it, you can always flog it again.

Cairo has the medium weight version - did go a size up, fits him very well and you don't get a lot chunkier than a clydie.

Chancer has the mw amigo too, and again fits well but a size up - he is a chunky gypsy cob.

Fits my shire cross well i only go a size up if rug has a fixed neck on also mines never leaked even in the heavy rain they are great value for money

I have 2 horses, both wear 6ft rugs. I thought that i could buy one and see what it was like for size. It fits my narrow chested TB, but had to go up a size with my other horse. I've never had trouble with 6ft rugs fitting him!
I have the red one too!

I'm abit unsure now. I can't go a size up because that is the biggest size, I didn't even think they did 7'3! I will have a shop round for others I think. I'm so tempted it would look lovely, I suppose I could always sell it on....... Thanks for all the replies by the way!
