Amigo Mio fly rug sizing

I found it came up slightly on the larger side as my horse grew out of all his previous 6'3 (now between a 6'6 and 6'9) and it still fits him, slightly more snug than what I normally like but it is fine :)

They are very good fly rugs though!

If your horse is of the thick necked kind then forget it! I bought one for my shetland and the neck didn't even begin to get anywhere near being done up!

My pony is 5'9" and it fits alright on the body, but the neck is a bit on the small side. Shes a connie so not got the biggest neck, and it is too short and only just fits.
Its an alright rug, but think the neck could be a bit better thats all :)

The views on the neck are interesting. I've got an ID who has a very heavy neck & yet I find the neck on this rug quite generous (ie the velcro does right up without strangling him!) - maybe they're cut more generously on the bigger sizes? I do wish it was roomier across the neck & shoulders though, & maybe a little deeper through the body so it wrapped under his belly more ....... come on manufacturers, help out those of us with big heavyweights!

My horse is normally 6.3 but I've recently bought a 6.6 my friend had a spare one she wasn't using and it fits him ok, if I was going to buy a new one I'd just get his normal size. I'd watch the length of the neck covers though, not sure if the 6.3 neck is shorter, this was something I was going to check in the shop but then my friend had this spare one. I found the bug rug's neck was a bit short thats why I wanted to check it. The 6.6 is fine, and because its a fly rug and not very heavy it hasn't rubbed as its a few inches too big luckily
