Is there a real difference between the Amigo Mio (600d no fill turnout) and the Amigo Hero (600d no fill turnout)?!!

The rug detail is exactly the same its just there's nearly a £10 price difference!!

The mio is a lighter weight (quality) rug, and has a big seam around a third of the depth of the rug from the hem (colour change area). It isn't as waterproof as the amigo 600d (now called a hero I think?!), but if you can get hold of the 1200d no fill ones they are super and very waterproof!

Mine are all rug wreckers from play fighting so expensive ballistic rugs & cheap ones all get the same treatment of teeth/front feet, I've learnt the hard way that nice rugs get demolished as quick as anything else, I just feel more disappointed when I discover the holes!

Have a browse of the net as the Mio's can be found v cheap in the sales - i bought all mine for £20 each in a sale last year!

We have an Amigo Mio which is a great rug, but it doesn't have attachments for a neck cover, so this is something you should check if it is important to you.

Thanks for the replies! I am an Amigo fan as I have found these rugs fit my gang really well and stand up to roughty/toughty palying!

I have a 1200d lightweight, but I use the 600d also as it is a lighter rug for cool summer evenings. Just need to get the new lad a 600d one, and wasn't sure if it was just a name/colour difference or if I was missing anything glaringly obvious.

Ta!

I had a mio no fill and the middle weight version for my youngster. She lived in the middle weight one last year in the snow and was toasty and dry. It never slipped and fit her lovely. I would buy another.

The difference between the amigo and the mio is that the mio has no hood attatchments and has only one metal ring where the fillet strap is attatched the other side is sown on (this is a slight issue for me as I clip rambo liners into rugs to make sheets into 100g and middle weights into heavy weights). Also the rug is only lined over the horses back. The red part is not lined and as far as I know is not breathable like the navy part is.

Hope that helps.

i have the medium weight mio for mine and the lightweight 600d version, both are great rugs and put up with a lot from my pony and his field gang! i cant say i notice a huge difference in the quality between the 2, they are both really good quality rugs and a good fit, i have also never had a problem with water leaks!
