Are Amigo rugs cut exactly the same shape as Rambos, fit wise?

I ask because I have several Amigos which I'd like to replace. Length wise and depth wise they are perfect, but when my mare is grazing they get a little tight around her chest and withers; they seem fine when she's stood up. They don't cause visible rubs but she does tend to nip when you rug her so I don't think she's entirely comfortable.

Does anyone else have this problem and are Rambos the same? If not can you suggest a brand that is good for a high withered TB type?

She doesn't have particularly big shoulders anyway and I have several Shires rugs which come up huge and have to be done up on the top hole.

I have amigo's for my riding pony, he's very narrow across the chest and they fit really well.
For my sisters Fell we have Rambos as she is very broad across the chest and they fit much better, she does have an amigo for her but its is tight.

I have both and the Rambo's are definitely more generously cut. You get what you pay for, i love Rambos and wouldn't buy Amigos again. The Rhinos are nearly as good!

Rambos are definitely worth the money, my 2 horses have them. They never leak, rub or slip, and seem to 'hover' over the horse, not tight anywhere, but light and warm. If they come in wet I leave the rugs on overnight (they're never wet inside) and being breathable they are dry to go out next morning.

The saddlery man told me that Amigos are made in China and come up slightly smaller than Rambos.

I have both and Rambo's are cut differently at the front. The Amigo's have a straight T closure whereas Rambo's are a V closure giving more room to lower the neck.

I'm sure you're aware that Rambo's are double the price of Amigo's though....

Most rugs are made in China now. I dont think that really makes a difference. Amigo and Rhino are made in China, only Rambo are in Ireland unless they need to make extra rugs quickly then they will make them there.

Amigo's, Rhino and Rambo are roughly all the same sort of fit but due to the front attachments on some Rhino and all Rambo you might find they give a little extra room. You could get away with going up a size in a turnout rug as that can help.
