Here's my coblet in her red Amigo rug, as you can see it is a lovely fit even on her big shoulders and huge derriere. I even found I had to go down a size from her usual Masta rugs which are renowned for being huge.

They are fab rugs. May be worth going the next size up to normal, and would go with the 1200denier as opposed to the 600denier. Goddys had his for 3yrs now, is still very waterproof and fits him beautifully.

I have a lite one in dark blue its never leaked iv had it snce last summer and just had it reproofed. I like amigo but a lot of ppl on here dnt get on with them and like you say they are defo cheap! try saddlerys tho ebays not always cheaper!!

Sid in his and before u say yes its huge he likes em big if they fit he rips em off dnt ask why cos i havent got a clue lol!

Brilliant rugs, have both the 600Denier and the 1200Denier, no problems with them, kept the horses warm and dry. All mine are in their normal rug sizes......

ive got all 4 ponies in amigos throughout the winter, i'd say that the small ones (5ft and under) seem to come up on the small side of things as i have a pony who is normaly in a 4ft6 and he needed a 5ft amigo. However ive got 2 ponies normaly in 5ft6's and thiers are 5ft6 and fit perfectly, the lad in the 6ft also fits nices;u, however it is slightly deep for him (he is only 14hh).

Ive only had one and Jack shredded it in a matter of weeks (very strange considering hes not a rug wrecker at all).

It seemed decent enough for the money to be fair.

Really good rugs. I have 2 lites and one MW and a hood to attch to that one. They are pretty good for size, but definitely not on the big side. Ill get more definitely

Are you talking about the 600D summer weight red/pummice turnout?

I bought one for £30 from Crewe Saddlery. Lovely fit but I am thoroughly disappointed in it. It leaks and Oliver's only been caught in the rain in it once. He was soaked. Apparently it's not uncommon for the 600D ones to leak (wish I'd known that before I bought it) but the 1200D are supposedly great rugs.

I've got a 600D one and it hasn't leaked once, and under torrential rain conditions!

I've got a couple of Rambo's for sale too so PM me for details - Sorry Nuffied but you gave me the idea

They are brilliant rugs, i had the red lite one...it was a bit big for my youngster though didn't quite fit him on the shoulders but that just because he is still filling out with all the schooling he is doing, i sold the rug to a friend though and her horse has had no problems with the rug.

I have got the lilac summer turnout..... not sure it leaks but merlin didnt feel warm under it when it was raining like he does with the rambo duo outer (but that has got 100g of fill i suppose).

He felt sort of cold and clammy

better than piss wet through though I suppose

Bought the red on on weds for my MW 16.2hh with big(ish) shoulders - bought normal 6ft6 size and although it was plenty long enough in the body, if not a little long, it would no meet around his chest - had to swap for (dearer) trusty Masta in same size, which, incidentally does up with plenty of room on the tightest hole!
