Amigo Turnout rugs - sizing ?

I am thinking of getting an amigo turnout rug for my yearling as i've been told they have better / shorter necks for a youngster. i only need a LW waterproof one, but she's inbetween 5'6 and 5'9 rug sizing. do i need to go for the bigger one or are they bigger than the size they are marked as? will be getting one second hand hopefully as she outgrew 4 last winter it cost me a fortune ! thankfully just managed to sell them on ebay for at least half their costs so not so bad

They come up smaller so would definitely go for 5'9.

I'd go for the 5'9, they aren't generous compared to other makes I've used and your youngster is still growing.

I would advise to go bigger with the Amigo rugs - my fella should be a 5'6 but this brand was pretty tight.

good old HHO thank you all, will def go for a 5'9 then, she's long enough in the back to take it, hopefully she wont grow too much this winter.

On Amigo & rambo I find the necks are not very big (quite small actually) & the chest is quite narrow. Get a bigger size than you need without a neck so that you can buy a larger size neck rug to go on it. That would
be my plan.

Yes def a size up, they are great rugs for youngsters really fit well. In fact all the studs our way use amigos as foal rugs

Oh just so u know horseware are bringing out a 50g fill which might be a bit better than a lightweight
