Does anyone use Amtrust? After waiting over 8 months, and complaining a lot, for a certain insurance company to settle a claim I'm looking to change insurers.
A friend has recommended Amtrust and they've given me a reasonable quote but hadn't heard of them before so wondered if anyone has any opinions on them?
 
Yes, I use them for my horse. Thankfully I haven't had to claim but when I call they do seem very helpful and I've never been put on hold or had to wait for my call to be answered, yay!

Not sure what they're like in the event of a claim. Hope I don't have to find out!
 
I use them for my horses and trailer . They are always great on the phone - quick to answer etc. I havent had to claim - but they are very pleasant to talk to if that helps?
 
Likewise, have been with them for 2 years, but never claimed yet, however, they used to be the 'behind the scenes' insurer for Equestrian Direct Insurance. I was with them and did make a claim which was settled very efficiently so would hopefully they should be OK!
 
I will only use them, never get quotes elsewhere when due because they are always so good with their prices, My husband is a Vet and says they are superb to deal with when claiming for clients and usually pay up without hassle.
 
Yes found them as started out with Equin Direct and ended up with Amtrust when they split. Through out this I had claims in for srugery and scans etc and 12 months later claimed for LOU.
Paid up promptly with no fuss.
Use them for the new chap now.
