Am I the only person who feels a little disappointment in the fact that Ms Tryon is listed. Perhaps I had secretly hoped that past actions would have slowed her progressesion, clearly not!

Well, she was picked for the last Olympics, and went, and that was after the whole appalling Le Samurai incident.
I guarantee I wasn't the only one thinking and doing very unsporting things when she fell off though... although I felt very sorry for the horse. Again.

I was watching something on H&C and just the sight of her made my blood boil. One reason I'm glad I'm not going, I might not be able to stop myself shouting something at her... Hopefully he FEI will pick her up for dangerous riding and ignoring rule 1, "At all times the welfare of the horse is paramount" eventually.

She seems to recieve a great deal of admiration over there, it baffles me how quickly people have forgiven and forgotten. She might be a lovely lady, but she shouldn't be allowed on the team.

Sorry, I'm out of the loop... what did she do?

Continued to ride a horse that was clearly breaking down beneath her - jump it, finish the course - then throw her hands up in suprise when it had to be shot. Claiming not to have felt a thing. Despite the horse clearly being catastrophically injured and being yelled at by spectators to pull up.

She was in the lead at the Kentucky 4* after dressage, and had gone clear in the XC approaching the final fence. A significant distance before the final fence her horse appeared very lame, but she pushed him on round the bend, over the fence, and over the finishing line. The horse had injuries which meant he had to be put to sleep. She claimed that Le Samurai had "locked on" to the fence and that it would have been dangerous to change course, but anyone could see that this was not the case. The video was floating around for a while but it got taken off youtube.

and please would anyone who has ever had a horse lock on to a fence AROUND A CORNER put their hands up now?
As excuses go, that's got to be the worst ever.
there is still a vid of it floating around somewhere. it's been very successfully almost-eradicated from the interwibble though, which I thought was impossible.
Lots of previous threads about it on here, for the curious. It is truly horrific to watch.

From some of the vet accounts it sounded like his leg nearly flew off.....

There was also another incident at either burghley or badminton (it was on telly and a 4*) where she galloped flat out straight at a maximum height + spread table that was also on a hill and caused a rotational fall.

That's terrible.

She should have been banned from international competition.

Remove the word 'international' and I'll definitely agree with you. I have rarely felt as physically ill and subsequently outraged when that happened. Personally I think she should have banned from going within vocal distance of any horse!
