You're probably right but after Laura's mark I wasn't at my best.
For crying out loud:
If you know you're not going to like something, by the title, Hey, don't read it. Sir or madam.
Is that better?
But guess what? I don't care if you take me seriously! Anyway, you're probably too busy taking yourself seriously!
What is this about? If you don't like something, don't read it! Easy.
I commented on something I heard on the commentary. As did a couple of other people Go pick on them why don't you?

You posted a benign OP topic. One would assume from reading your title that the post would be about the details of how Amy hurt her leg but, no, it was just another gloat thread and you have been downright childish and cheeky to a member who voiced a valid opinion.

You know, you're right. I am wasting my breath trying to have a sensible discussion with someone so childish.

don't read them then!
(the clue is in the title)
the commentators on the dressage have just announced it, so it is valid news. so
[/ QUOTE ]
It's nothing against the valid news (AT's injury) which is why I read the post, just a gut reaction to one more and very repetitive AT bashing comment... And that is NOT news

yep you and me both. also am slightly of the opinion that if anyone has anything further to say on the subject perhaps they will be brave enough to do it in person instead of being snide. that i can live with.
and before anyone starts on about lack of oppotunity, i didnt see anyone mouthing off at barbury and i shouldnt think there will be any brave souls at blair either.
OK, having been called childish, and told with frightening originality that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit ...
1) I and at least one other person posted when MT said that AT was in hospital
2) I and at least a few others made comments about reaping what is sown, karma etc.
3) Not I but several others suggested making her run on it, etc.
4) Black_Eventer (I think) said s/he was fed up with AT threads.
5) I (rather waspishly, admittedly) suggested that s/he didn't open threads with AT in the title? Fair enough comment, if a bit rudely put.
6) Miss Huggy Bear (what are you, his/her mother?!) (joke) said she thought I had been rude
7) I said yes, point taken, but Laura B was doing my head in. Then with a touch of humour (obviously surplus to requirements) suggested that saying 'don't read threads you don't like the look of. Sir' might be more polite.
8) I get my head bitten off, and am called rude and insulting names, because I chose, along with some others who wanted to discuss AT to do so on a public message board, where you can discuss what you like.
9) The thread descends into in jokes and nudge nudges.
Now, sorry, I admit, I was a bit snarky with BE in post four or whatever, but then again, who died and left anyone in charge of what can and can't be discussed?
In plain Enlgish, once more, without humour sarcasm or anything else - no one has to read or contribute to any thread. If you're bored of it, you can either just not contribute, or start another thread saying 'Poor Old Amy' or giving some further medical insight or something.
I totally don't see the justification for calling people childish or sarcastic or whatever, just because you don't like the subjects they choose to discuss!
Why not just lighten up, and let people post away about all manner of rubbish you're not interested in - as I'm sure most people do?
I think the fall re-triggered her knee problem, as she had been having trouble with it anyway.
Her fever which caused her to go into hospital is probably food/climate/a cold/whatever.
I'm sure karma has already happened to her, and the repetitive Amy Tryon this, Amy Tryon that posts are boring.
It's all very well saying "don't read it" but this is in latest news, I'd heard about her knee, so wondered if there was any more news about the topic on this, not a sodding message saying "You reap what you sow, y'know!"

Look, I am trying to get out of this but ....
I had not heard about it. I had only just heard it on the dressage commentary. There were two posts next to each other on the list reflecting this. At least two people, hearing it, thought it worthy of posting on here.
Should we check with you before we post anything in 'News'?
I don't see your need to swear about it, really.
I had not heard about her knee until that moment. At that moment, in an obviously unsuccessful way, I was trying to comment on the irony of this partcular person suffering from leg pain.
Am I the only person who sees dozens of things repeated, in 'News' and 'New Lounge' - quite often hours if not days apart - and just skips the stuff I know about?
I did think this was a pretty sensible place, but honestly. What a great fuss over nothing.

I heard it on the dressage commentary too. They also mentioned on there that she had problems with her knee before hand, hence why I passed comment on it.

I didn't say that. There's no need to be flippant, I'm only passing comment, like others on here.
I didn't realised I swore
Apologies if any offence was taken.

It was mentioned on the dressage commentary, as I said above.
Yes, I too think it's ironic she had leg pain.

No you're not. I do that too. But I didn't know know the full story about Amy Tryon, hence why I look in on this post.

Yes, it was a sensible place; for the title.
I'm not making a fuss, just commenting.
