Just seen on various news sites that Amy Winehouse is trying for a baby. The drug-addled pair recently decided to try to conceive as an incentive to kick their vicious addictions to cocaine and heroin.

I truly hope this is just a rumour, she needs to sort herself out first before she becomes responsible for another person.

Troubled star Amy Winehouse is reportedly planning the arrival of her first child with husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

According to tabloid claims, the 23-year-old singer sees a baby as the perfect tonic to her alleged drug abuse.

A source told the News of the World that Winehouse and Fielder-Civil, 25, had been actively trying to conceive during a recent Caribbean holiday.

"Amy and Blake really want a child together and they don't want to wait. They're trying for a baby and Amy told us she could be expecting," the insider said.

"She really wants a baby and thinks it will help get her life back on track."
 
What has happened to her is so sad. She has such enormous talent, yet such fragile self esteem; she has become totally dependent on her husband in no time at all and is a total wreck. Sometimes, when two people meet, they really bring out the worst in each other. I do not think this marriage is healthy for her, and a baby sounds disastrous on all levels.
 
I agree Sooty. I think they both need help and fast, before something really tragic happens. They can't look after themselves so to even think of bringing another being into their world is crazy right now. Hope they get what they need to really sort themselves out and be well again.
 
I would have though the abuse she has subjected her body to might make it difficult to conceive, maybe forcing herself to become a little more healthy in the attempt will help in other areas of her life

I hope her celebrity status does not deter Social Services from doing their job. Any baby that that pair have should be whisked off in to care as soon as the cord is cut.

That's like saying "I'm going to have a baby because I want to give up smoking".
No... you give up smoking because you want to have a baby and care for it enough to have forethought for it's health and welfare.
 
You would have thought so wouldn't you but unfortunately that just doesn't happen. I see it day in day out drug addicts going home with their tiny bundles just to find out a few weeks later that the baby was found ill because the parents couldn't look after it and then it was taken away. Far too late in my opinion!!

Spelling might be a little off, but I sympathise with the viewpoint.
