Ook so this may seem like a silly question which I thought I knew the answer to but now I am not so sure, despite being around horses most of my life knowing how much an individual horse needs etc. but.... what does an acre actually look like? If I was to see a single acre field what would be of an equivalent size?

Just frustrated curiosity really been bugging me of late :o

I have cheese and wine to offer and a cuddle with a very floofy cat :D

Ooh. That's a difficult one.

I have a field that is exactly one square acre but telling you what it looks like is a completely different kettle of fish.

This any help?
football pitch covers about 110 by 70 yards. An acre measures an area of land that is 70 by 70 yards. A football pitch is therefore about 1.5 times of an acre.

This is the trouble I have been having but then i usually vastly overestimate it :o

Very helpful thank you :D have an extra cuddle from the cat :p

My plot here is 1000m by 40, which is about one acre. So it is the width of a small dressage arena and you can put in 5 of these side by side. Does that help?
